SEASON ENDS WHILE NEW STADIUM CONTINUES

[October 2nd] -- That was a strange way for the season to come to an end -- wasn't it? -- with Chad Cordero, bat on shoulder, taking a called third strike. But regardless of how it ended, end it did. Seventy-one wins, ninety-one losses, (the Nationals) along with sixty-eight temper tantrums and forty-four miscellaneous items thrown at the computer screen (me). Wouldn't have it any other way, though (my boorish actions, not the seventy-one wins)

Feeling the inevitable post-season let down, I'm going to take the morning off and relax. Oh, I'm sure I'll find something prescient to say about next season while slicing and dicing the just completed campaign with my Popeil word-processor. But for now, I'm going back to bed.

The Beltway Boys will remain open for business throughout the offseason, publishing six days a week. Beginning our third year, I have noticed that I tend to have a lot more to say in the winter. I'm guessing it's because hope has a lot more to say that reality.

Thanks for visiting this season -- "y'all come back now, y'hear."

All hail Farid and his mad Photoshop SKILLZ! Huzzah, I say to you sir! Huz-zah!

Huzzah, indeed! I wholeheartedly support the motion.

I just wonder how long it will be before we can go back to the website address I have bookmarked? (Wait, it's my fault, isn't it? As soon as I CHANGE my bookmark to the "temporary" web address, the original problem will be solved and we can all go back to normal. Right?)

It's been a pleasure reading you, Farid, and I look forward to a good, long Hot Stove...

I really appreciate your efforts and look forward to your insights regarding the Nats during the off season. I think I enjoy your Nats Blog the most since you don't seem to join the rest of the "bitter crowd" that loves to focus on the negative. For better or for worse, we got what we got. But hey, at least we GOT. Hope does seem to spring eternal in the winter months. Thanks Farid.

Gee, thanks guys; I'm blushing. With your help, I'll be re-working the site, adding more of what you want in the coming months.
